Geohazards can be generally defined as "natural or man-made hazards of a geotechnical, geological, hydrological, or tectonic origin that represent a potential threat to people, infrastructure or the environment." Alberta Geological Survey Monitoring data review and analysis for the Turtle Mountain Monitoring Project focused on stability of the South Peak, Frank, AB. Involved developing analysis approach and applying approach to data from the project. 2005
Emergency Management Alberta Planning and implementation of a monitoring framework for the South Peak of Turtle Mountain, Frank, AB as part of the Turtle Mountain Monitoring Project. Involved project technical coordination, planning of instrumentation and monitoring system, engagement of the public, project reporting, and peer review. 2003-2005
Alberta Municipal Affairs Development of a monitoring framework for the South Peak of Turtle Mountain, Frank, AB. Involved review of landslide monitoring systems and strategies, conceptual design of a three-stage monitoring system for Turtle Mountain, review of operational logistics and emergency response protocol, development of an implementation strategy and preliminary cost estimates. 2002
Kyllo Planning and Development Slope stability assessment and percolation testing for housing development in Foothills colluvial terrain near Millarville, AB. 2001
Alberta Environment Geotechnical hazard assessment of the south flank of Frank Slide, Hillcrest, AB. Involved field investigation, land use study, numerical modelling, runout analysis, and review of historical information to assess the hazard posed by the unstable rock mass associated with the South Peak of Turtle Mountain. 2000
